If you have a moved into a new location or have an existing Napco Express XP-600 hybrid security system you have been wondering how can I get alarm monitoring services for this panel? Have no fear Geoarm Security is here to provide you with a few options to get your XP 600 system monitored for police, fire and medical dispatching services.

Phone/VOIP Line Alarm Monitoring Services

The first option end users will have to get their Napco XP 600 hybrid security system monitored is via Phone/VOIP alarm monitoring services. For this method to work end users must have an active phone or VOIP line wired directly into the Napco security system with an active dial tone attached to it. If you plan on going with a VOIP provider make sure it is not OOMA, Magic Jack or Vonage because these are not supported, providers. In some cases, if you have an advanced plan from Magic Jack called Magic Jack plus this in some cases does work. For any of these options to work consumers must have their alarm system installer code which is the code that allows you to enter the programming mode. 

If you don't have your installer code to access programming none of these above options are going to work. The reason why is because in order for your XP 600 security system to send its signals through phone lines we must be able to access your panels programming to switch the account number and the phone number the panel is set to dial out to. If this is the situation you are in stay tuned for our next option where you still may be able to have alarm monitoring services without replacing your control panel or defaulting it back to the factory.

If you want to default to factory your Napco XP-600 Security system follow these instructions below:

Defaulting the Napco XP-600 Panel to Factory 

1. Remove power from the panel. 

2. Remove all wiring from terminal 15 (PGM) and terminal 3. 

3. Connect terminal 15 (PGM) to terminal 3. 

4. Apply power to the XP-600 control panel. 

5. After a few seconds the 
W ARMED, X  READY  and  HSYSTEM  TROUBLE LEDs will flash. 

6. The keypad will beep 3 times indicating the panel default values have been loaded. 

7. Remove wiring between terminal 15 (PGM) and terminal 3. 

8. Re-install original wiring for terminal 15 (PGM) and terminal 3. 

NOTE: Any programming in Dealer Options 1 [96] and Dealer Options 2 [97] will not 
be defaulted. If Dealer Code Lockout has been programmed the panel will not default the Dealer Code.  

Wi-FI Alarm Monitoring Services - Requires Installer Code

A second option an end user would have when it comes communicating Napco XP 600 alarm signals back to a central alarm monitoring station is via Wi-FI communications. If you have an XP 600 you can add a BAT WIFI from IPdatatel. In order to use the IPdatatel Wi-Fi alarm monitoring option end users must have their installer code to access programming. With this option, you will not have any kind of remote control from a smartphone application because the Bat-Wifi does not support this feature with this particular control panel.  

If you cannot locate your installer code or the default code doesn’t work then you will have to go with one of our other options listed in this article such as the Tg-1 express cellular option or Napco Starlink communicator. 

If you are set on using the IPDATATEL BAT-WIFI there is a way to default your XP-600 system back to factory by following the instructions at the top of the page. 

Cellular Alarm Monitoring Service - Without Installer Code

The third option you will have for alarm monitoring of a Napco XP-600 hybrid security system will be via a cellular alarm communicator. There are only two options we recommend for cellular alarm monitoring services with your XP 600 system when you don't have your installer code. 

The first is the Telguard Tg-1 Express, universal cellular communicator. This device is truly amazing because even if end users don't have their installer code to access programming there is a good chance you can still have cellular alarm monitoring services. There are 3 questions you must answer yes to before understanding if your XP-600 system can use the Telguard Tg-1 cellular communicator as an option. 

1) Do you have the codes to arm/disarm the system 
2) Has the XP 600 had alarm monitoring services before? 
3) Is the XP 600 system in working order? 

If you answered yes to all 3 of the above questions than the Telguard Tg-1 Express is an option to report your Napco XP 600 alarm signals to our central alarm monitoring station without having to completely replace your control panel and or keypads. When you don't have your installer code there is no way to have any kind or interactive alarm monitoring services where you can remotely arm/disarm the system from a smartphone application.

The second option consumers have to report alarm signals from their XP 600 hybrid security system to a central station using a cellular communicator is a Napco Starlink universal cellular communicators. This option offers the same advantages as the Tg-1 express and you will need to ask yourself these same three questions listed above before deciding if the Napco Starlink universal cellular communicators will work for your application where you dont' have your installer code to access panel programming menu. Once you have installed the Starlink cellular communicator you are ready for Napco cellular alarm monitoring services.

With either of the Telguard Tg-1 Express or the Napco Starlink universal cellular communicator options if you want to add interactive alarm monitoring services where you can remotely arm/disarm and receive text messages you will need to make sure you have the installer code to access programming.

If you don't have the installer code you will have to attempt to default your panel back to factory by following instructions at the top of this article. Keep in mind by doing this you are defaulting all of your zone programming and user codes as well. So once you default the panel you will have to re-program all of your sensors and user codes.
